No Shorts
No Shorts places you in front of small interactive scenes where ragdoll stickmen, decorative objects and a cannon await a well-placed shot to cause maximum damage. From the start of a session, you quickly observe the layout of the elements, then you choose where to launch your projectile to knock down, strike or pull along everything on the scene. The fun comes from the chain reaction, because a successful impact can send a character against an obstacle, move an accessory, and then worsen the destruction. You move from one level to another at a very brisk pace, in a sequence that recalls short videos, and each new situation asks you to assess in a few seconds what can break, bounce or block your action.
Over the course of the game, you understand that succeeding is not only about shooting at random. Some elements absorb impact poorly, others become useful if you activate them at the right moment, and you often have to mentally replay the scene before acting to get more destruction. You can also like stories created by other players, which adds a discovery dimension distinct from the simple cannon shot. On your side, the level designer allows you to invent your own situations, with your placements, your sequences and your ideas of chaos. This freedom changes the feeling of the game, because you do not only chain challenges, you experiment, you test and you seek the most spectacular reaction. Between quick observation, physical satisfaction from collisions and the desire to see how far the scene can go wrong, each attempt pushes you to start a new sequence. Enjoy!
